From January 30 to February 1, 2026, the 5th International Conference on Electronic Information and Communication Engineering and the 2nd International Conference on Optical Communication, Signal Processing, and Optical Engineering (EICE 2026 & OCSPOE 2026) were successfully held in Sanya. This conference focused on cutting-edge technologies and research achievements in the fields of electronic information, communication engineering, and optical communication. It brought together numerous experts and scholars from universities and research institutions both domestically and internationally. Through keynote speeches, oral presentations, poster sessions, and various other formats, it established a high-level academic exchange platform, promoting technological innovation and industrial development in the related fields.


The conference was held in a hybrid format, combining both online and offline participation. The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Liang Yang from Hunan University. Vice Dean Hao Tang of the School of Information and Communication Engineering at Hainan University and Vice Dean Shancheng Zhao of the School of Information Science and Technology at Jinan University delivered opening remarks in succession.

Following the opening ceremony, the plenary session commenced, chaired by Associate Professor Guilu Wu from Hainan University. 

Professor Zhaocheng Wang from Tsinghua University delved into "PRACH Preamble Design for 6G Wireless Systems," unlocking new insights into next-generation communication technologies. Professor Zhengyuan Xu from the University of Science and Technology of China shared the latest progress on "Underwater Optical Wireless Communication," exploring new possibilities for ocean exploration and underwater networking. Professor Yanjiao Chen from Zhejiang University analyzed "Security Risks and Countermeasures in Face and Voice Recognition," strengthening the security framework for AI applications. Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) focused on stratospheric communications, expanding new dimensions of communication coverage. Other scholars, including Professor Liang Yang from Hunan University and Professor Yuli Yang from Soochow University, presented cutting-edge research on 6G network architecture and intrinsic security in wireless communications.

In addition, a total of ten young scholars on-site conducted in-depth presentations of innovative research findings across various specialized fields, including power equipment inspection, digital twin technology, and counter-drone systems. The exchange sessions featured lively intellectual discussions and frequent emergence of innovative ideas, fully showcasing the young scholars’ solid academic foundations and forward-looking research perspectives. Many participating scholars delivered systematic and detailed reports on important topics within their respective areas of expertise.

At the conference, award selection activities were also organized for Outstanding Papers, Excellent Posters, and Outstanding Young Presentations to recognize and honor individuals and teams who demonstrated exceptional performance in their research work.

The successful hosting of EICE 2026 & OCSPOE 2026 has established an efficient academic exchange platform for experts and scholars in electronic information, communication engineering, and optical communications. It facilitated the sharing and dissemination of cutting-edge technologies and research achievements, injecting new vitality into the advancement of related disciplines and their industrial applications. We look forward to gathering again at the next conference to jointly explore emerging frontiers.
